Despite significant progress, women continue to face unique challenges in the workplace, often finding themselves overlooked, unheard, excluded, or even protected in ways that reinforce systemic disadvantage. This presentation explores practical strategies that women can adopt to navigate these barriers, and recognizing that individual empowerment alone is insufficient, also emphasizes the crucial role of institutions as agents of change in creating equitable environments.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand Workplace Challenges: Recognize the disadvantages and challenges women face in the workplace, including being overlooked, unheard, excluded, and sometimes overly protected.
  2. Identify Empowering Strategies: Specify actionable strategies to address workplace challenges, such as walking the thin line, speaking up, networking, and challenging oneself.
  3. Acknowledge the Role of Institutions: Articulate approaches that organizations can take to support women's success.
