Marlene Thorn
Marlene's full-time industry experience has been in organizational, executive development and human capital management positions in private, federal, and nonprofit sectors, with both domestic and international, including the International Monetary Fund (IMF). After her retirement from the IMF her consulting experience has been in the private, federal, and nonprofit sectors, both domestic and international. Consulting clients include the United Nations, Asian Development Bank in Manila, Philippines; and UN-International Fund for Agricultural Development in Rome, Italy. Marlene received her PhD in human development with a specialty in organizational management from the University of Maryland, her MA and BA degrees in counseling and psychology from the University of Florida. She holds an Executive Development Certification from ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain. She was also a senior fellow and researcher at the James MacGregor Burns Academy of Leadership at the University of Maryland. Marlene has published articles in the area of international leadership, coaching, management, and human resources development, and numerous policy and Board papers. |
