Dr. Tamara LynDr. Tamara Lyn acquired unique experience during decades of service in high intensity correctional settings. She served in clinical and executive leadership roles in corrections, including oversight of all psychology programs in the Bureau of Prisons (2015-2020). Her career culminated in the role of Warden as one of a very small cohort of women in the position. As a Warden during a global pandemic, Dr. Lyn developed deep insights into crisis management, fostered psychological safety, and taught skills for resilience and learning agility. Dr. Lyn’s work as an executive coach and consulting psychologist focuses the application of positive psychology in high-impact, high-stakes leadership roles. Dr. Lyn holds an MA and PhD in psychology from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She served as an elected member of the American Psychological Association (APA) Board of Directors (2022-2024) and is an APA Fellow in divisions representing public service (Division 18) and consulting (Division 13). She is Board certified in Organizational and Business Consulting Psychology (OBCP) and serves on the Board of Trustees of the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). “The Surprising Journey from Psychologist to Warden,” was published in Psychological Services in December 2022. |
