Dr. Brenda Huber is an experienced leader in higher education and multiple child-serving sectors (i.e., schools, childcare, healthcare, juvenile court, community mental health, child welfare). She transitioned from her position as Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Rush University Medical Center and Executive Director of Rush NeuroBehavioral Center in Spring 2022 to build a portfolio career under her umbrella business, Doc B, PLLC. She provides systems-consultation to communities engaging in collaborative and innovative solutions to children's mental health needs. Her interests include relationship-oriented and empowering interventions for children and families, children's mental health/educational equity, and exploring avenues by which research and practice can influence public policy. She also currently serves as Chair of the School Psychology Department at The Chicago School.
