Dr. Christina Frederick

Dr. Frederick is a Professor of Psychology and Senior Faculty Research Mentor in the Behavioral and Social Sciences Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide Campus. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Rochester, where she was a member of the Self- Determination Theory Motivation Research Group. Dr. Frederick held faculty positions at Southern Utah University and the University of Central Florida. In 2000, she joined Embry-Riddle, where her work focused on applied motivation. From 2004-2012, she served in various roles in academic administration, including Interim Provost, and Senior Executive Vice President for Academics and Research. Dr. Frederick’s current research interests examine technology use and personality, subjective vitality, team motivation, and leadership. Dr. Frederick is the former president of the Society of Psychologists in Leadership, and is active in the Foundation for the Advancement of Psychologists in Management, as well as serving as a faculty volunteer for Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology.
